Day 1 – Depart UK

Day 2 – Arrive Delhi
Upon arrival you will be met by Mysteries of India representative and transferred to hotel.
Delhi, the capital and the third largest city of India, is a fusion of ancient and modern. It comprises two contrasting yet harmonious parts, Old Delhi and New Delhi. Old Delhi was the capital of Muslim India from the 12th to the 19th centuries, while New Delhi was created by the British Raj and replaced Calcutta as the capital in 1931.
Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3 – DELHI/LUCKNOW (FLIGHT) LUCKNOW – DUDHWA NP (SURFACE APPROX 4HRS) (L, D)
Early morning, check out from your hotel and you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Lucknow.
Upon arrival in Lucknow, you will be met and driven to Dudhwa National Park.
The drive is approximately four hours and one gets an introduction to the diversity of the Terai region, as you traverse through the countryside and notice endless fields of sugarcane, rice and wheat plantations.
On arrival at Jaagir Manor, Dudhwa soak in the serenity of the surroundings as you are escorted to your luxurious room. After the check-in formalities, relax and unwind from your journey.
Later, set out for a gentle walk around the Jaagir Manor, to acquaint yourself with the fauna and flora of these rural surroundings.
In the evening, your resident naturalist will give an introduction to Dudhwa National Park, and highlight the activities that are included in your itinerary.
Enjoy your evening with refreshing beverages and freshly prepared delicacies for dinner.

Day 4 – Dudhwa NP
Wake up early for an exciting day. Your naturalist will meet you as you set course on you rfirst jungle safari in the Terai region.
Dudhwa National Park lies amid the warm, tropical moist deciduous forests with an abundance of flora and fauna. Start your drive before dawn to catch the first rays of the sun as you enter the National Park.
The thrill of a safari experience comes from the sheer unpredictability of the jungle. This is an adventure like never before! The dense sal forests, extensive grasslands and wetlands, are home to a variety of wildlife, but it’s what you may encounter on your sojourn that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Although elusive, sightings of the Royal Bengal tiger, leopard, the swamp deer and fishing cat are not uncommon.
The adaptive environment, healthy habitat, rich flora and fauna of Dudhwa suited the reintroduced rhinos and their population grew to 38 in 2018 and 46 in 2023.
As you pass numerous water bodies in the marshlands. Rich in riparian life, they are also critical breeding grounds for the critically endangered Indian otters. Before returning to the Jaagir Manor the largest open grasslands of the region and famous for the Gharials, who bask by the river. Return to the Jaagir Manor to freshen up for a sumptuous lunch.
Later you will proceed for a Birding Trail. Whether you are a seasoned birder or just curious, areas in and around Dudhwa National Park are ideal for bird watching.

Day 5 – Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary
This morning, proceed on an hour’s drive to the Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary.An integral part of the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve, it is an excellent habitat for the uniqueflora and fauna of the Terai region, with its many bodies of water. The sanctuary isdominated by sal, ficus and crocodile-bark trees, along with an array of multi-huedflowers and trees like the red silk cotton tree and the flame of the forest. A swampland fed by the Sharda River also features the elusive tiger and the endangered swamp deer, along with barking deer, wild boar and hog deer. Watchfreshwater crocodiles bask in the sun and ducks swim on these lakes.
After enjoying your game drive, return to Jaagir Manor, Dudhwa for lunch.

Today it’s a bit long day but very exciting and rewarding. Post breakfast, you will drive for a distance of 110KM from the Lodge to Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary for half day boat safari.
Katarniaghat is a little-known paradise encompassing 400 square kilometres of grassland, swamps and wetlands. The Katarniaghat Forest provides a link between the tiger habitats of Dudhwa and Kishanpur in India and the Bardia National Park in Nepal.
Enjoy a boat ride on the River Girwa, one of the best places in the world for sighting the gharial. Spot the critically endangered Gangetic dolphins, fresh water turtles, Indian elephant, spotted deer, Burmese python and the white-backed vultures amongst other species.
Hot Lunch will be served post boat ride.
Afternoon take a Game Drive to explore the wild life in the area.

Post breakfast this morning Game Drive in Kishanpur Zone of Dudhwa National Park. Soak in the serenity of these pristine forests as they unravel their magic amidst the cacophony of jungle calls.
Return to the Jaagir Manor for lunch and the rest of the afternoon is at leisure so you may relax and unwind after a couple of days of intense safaris.
Spend time at the Safari Club and enjoy a game of billiards or a game of chess.
Alternatively, spend some time at lounge by the pool to soak in some sun some much needed vitamin D with freshly prepared juices and light bites to keep you company.

Day 8 – Dudhwa National Park – Lucknow (Surface 4 Hrs Approx) (B)
After Leisurely breakfast check out and drive to Lucknow.
Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, extends along the banks of the river Gomti. The creator of Lucknow, as it is today, was Nawab Asaf ud Daula (1775 to 1797). The city became known as a centre for Urdu poetry and courtly diction, and reached its acme during the reign of Wajid Ali Shah (1847 to 1856) who was a connoisseur of music and poetry.
Today, the city is dotted with remnants of its rich historic past. Lucknow is also known for its elaborate cuisine and ‘Chikankaari’ or exquisite shadow-work embroidery on fine muslin cloth.

Afternoon half day city tour of Lucknow visiting The Residency, Hussainabad & Asafi Imambara.
The Residency, also called as the British Residency. Residency was first laid by the king Nawab Asaf-ud-daula of Avadh in 1775. Built for the British Resident during the rule of Nawab Saadat Ali Khan in 1780-1800, it was originally a large complex of many buildings including residential quarters, armoury, stables, dispensaries, worship places and so on. The Residency was subject to the Siege of Lucknow, a part of the Indian Rebellion 1857, between 1st July and 17th November. The Residency now exists as ruins.
Hussainabad Imambara (Also known as Chhota Imambara): Housing the tombs of Muhammad Ali Shah and his family, it was built between 1837 and 1842. It is also called the Chhota Imambara, or small Imambara.
Asafi Imambara (Also known as Bara Imambara): An architectural marvel of intricate and complex design.
The central hall is one of the world’s largest vaulted galleries. Built by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula in 1784, its designer Kifayat-ullah is said to have been related to the architect of the Taj Mahal.
