In 1928, Rawal Madan Singh the scion of the erstwhile estate of Nawalgarh completely restored Roop Niwas, his country house and stables into his permanent home in Nawalgarh.

Later, in 1981, he opened his doors to guests from the world over so they could enjoy the hospitality of the family managed boutique Roop Niwas Kothi and the tradition continues towelcoming guests with the same warm hospitality as their ancestors.
