Chambal Safari Lodge, Chambal

Nestled in the midst of over 120 acres of woodland surrounded by farmland, in 1915 The Mela Kothi was founded to be ideally located to serve as a camp office for the family’s bi annual cattle fair.
In 1999 a birding enthusiast and conservationist Mr Ram Pratap Singh and his wife Anu decided to turn the inheritance in to an Eco Lodge. The Mela Kothi was meticulously restored and rechristened as Chambal Safari Lodge. Set within 35 acres of the original heritage plantation surrounded by farmlands.
The lodge has 10Cottages and Suites spread in blocksin the lap of nature. The main building has a large well-appointed room to offer with front and rear veranda.
The lodge kitchen prepares authentic ‘home cooked’ buffet spreads with fresh organically grown ingredients from our own farms or procured directly from the local farmers. The recipes include a rich and varied mix of local specialties and contemporary Indian and Continental dishes.
A well-stocked library and board games are available in the main building.
